Howie Dean Screaming

Did you hear Dean Monday night? I thought that was so rad when he was yelling about taking the rest of the country and then he was all "YEEEEAAAAAUUUGGGHHHRRRR!"

Kind of a snarling growl. If I didn't disagree with most of his policies, that may've won my vote.

Reformation lesson

I'm a history teacher. I'm trying to come up with a class activity for 7th 8th and 10th grade world history class on the Reformation. Any ideas?

Let's hear it, Calvinists.

Doug Wilson?

I guess that I am pretty out of the loop, but what is the controversy going on over in Moscow, Idaho? I don't really know much about Doug Wilson, I used to read Credenda/Agenda in the Covenant library sometimes, but all that I can tell is that there is alot of bad blood and vicious words going back and forth. Wilson is a Reformed minister of some sort and alot of people are attacking him. Have I got that much right? I'm assuming he wrote something inflamatory? I vaguely remember someone mentioning that Aaron Mesh wrote something about all of this, but I don't really know. Seriously, I'm very interested to know what is going on.

College?

So my wife Sarah-Ginny has transfered to college here in South Florida at Palm Beach Atlantic Univ. Yesterday was her first day. It is an odd campus in the middle of downtown West Palm Beach.

NPR junkie

Is anyone else hopelessly addicted to NPR? I get jumpy if I don't get at least a few hits each day. Morning Edition, All Things Considered, Fresh Air, Prarie Home Companion, whatever. Just wondering if I am normal. I put it on during the journalism class that I teach. I really would like a bumper sticker with the rad NPR tri color logo. What's wrong with me?
